This side eye is dedicated to those who breach gym etiquette and possibly for those who lack everyday manners. 1. Your mom isn’t here to pick up after you so please put it away. This not only creates the impression that equipment is still being used, but nobody wants to spend time unracking plates and finding a matching set of dumbbells. And encourage others politely to do the same. I sincerely believe approaching someone politely is enough for them to think twice. Take pride in your gym setting. 2. Be mindful of your environment. Don’t monopolize people’s personal time during a workout; keep it moving. I love to see my gym family and I’m easily distracted, but I also value my personal time so if I’m avoiding eye contact it’s cause I’m most likely pressed for time and don’t want to be distracted. Distract me on cardio. 3. Don’t monopolize equipment. 4. As a coach, I understand life’s many undetermined circumstances, but if you are attending a class and late please don’t disturb the flow by interrupting your teammates or chatting during instruction... it’s rude and punishes the entire class. 5. Keep your judgment to a minimum. This is a place to improve ourselves. To each their own. . Happy Training 🤓
