📌Working your ASS off with little or NOTHING to show for it? 📌We’ve been conditioned to think we should essentially DO MORE and that rest days are for the WEAK. I often see clients who train 6x days a week, punish themselves over hours of cardio, and will even add a few high intensity group classes in for good measure What we FAIL to understand is exercise is also a stressor, especially when it involves high intensity. Now take that and add it alongside life’s stressors; it can be a recipe for disaster There’s a difference between performing the optimal dose to create change and doing as much as possible because you’re afraid of what will happen when you don’t ⁣Progress will always come from consistency and adherence, but PRIORITIZING RECOVERY as well. This means reducing the amount of high intensity so you can have a more efficient lift to progress your weight training program, prioritizing sleep, mobility, yoga, etc. 💤💤 You can’t change your physique if you aren’t able to progress your program (by adding more weight, reps, quality sets, etc) Train smarter, not harder ⚠️
