📌Working your ASS off with little or NOTHING to show for it?
📌We’ve been conditioned to think we should essentially DO MORE and that rest days are for the WEAK.
I often see clients who train 6x days a week, punish themselves over hours of cardio, and will even add a few high intensity group classes in for good measure
What we FAIL to understand is exercise is also a stressor, especially when it involves high intensity. Now take that and add it alongside life’s stressors; it can be a recipe for disaster
There’s a difference between performing the optimal dose to create change and doing as much as possible because you’re afraid of what will happen when you don’t
Progress will always come from consistency and adherence, but PRIORITIZING RECOVERY as well. This means reducing the amount of high intensity so you can have a more efficient lift to progress your weight training program, prioritizing sleep, mobility, yoga, etc. 💤💤
You can’t change your physique if you aren’t able to progress your program (by adding more weight, reps, quality sets, etc)
Train smarter, not harder ⚠️
